The Hamilton watch house was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. In 1914 he was awarded the prestigious title of official supplier to the US armed forces.
Among the most successful models we remember in 1928 Piping Rock and Yankee, affirming the leadership of the Hamilton watches in the American style of then.

During the Second World War, Hamilton concentrated watch production to equip the armed forces with a million timepieces, becoming the famous watch for military aviation. But it was in 1957 that the Hamilton watch introduced the world’s first electric watch, the VENTURA, revolutionary technology in a revolutionary design that continues today with revised models and in the feminine line mother-of-pearl dials and diamonds.

In 1961 Hamilton meets Elvis Presley wearing his personal watch “Hamilton Ventura” in the movie “Blue Hawaii”. On the wave of Presley, it was Stanley Kubrick who approached the American brand with the historical film “Odyssey in space”.
In the 90s, the collaboration with Hollywood continues with action films in different roles such as Men in Black, Lethal Weapon 4, Fight Club, Independence Day, Mr Ripley’s Talent and many others.

Since 2003, Hamilton has been acquired by the largest watchmaking company, Swatch, and its production moved from the US to Biel in Switzerland. The American Classic and Khaki models were thus from that moment watches of Swiss production with inimitable lines and with the price-quality ratio convenient.
